Industrial Factories — questions we get asked
Can waterproofing be completed inside a two-day shutdown?
Often, using fast-cure systems such as polyurea, which can be walked on within hours. The limiting factor is surface preparation, which cannot be shortened — a rushed substrate is the most common cause of coating failure.
What system suits a chemical bund?
It depends entirely on the chemical. Resin chemistry must be matched to what is actually stored, including concentration and temperature. We ask for the datasheet before specifying.
Our factory roof leaks over production. Can it be fixed without stopping the line?
Usually yes. Large-span roof work is generally carried out from above, and can be phased bay by bay so production continues underneath.
Will the floor coating handle forklift traffic?
Only if specified for it. Abrasion resistance and thickness are the deciding factors, and a coating chosen purely for chemical resistance will often fail mechanically.
