GLOSSARY / SYSTEMS

FRP Lining

Fibre-reinforced plastic lining, built up from glass fibre reinforcement saturated with resin and cured into a hard, seamless, chemically resistant shell.

WHY IT MATTERS

On an actual building

It suits chemical containment and industrial tanks where the lining must resist attack and abrasion as well as water. Resin chemistry must be matched to the actual stored chemical.

COMMONLY MISUNDERSTOOD

What we most often have to correct

That it is a general-purpose waterproofing option. It is rigid and will crack or debond on a substrate that moves.
